Created and designed specifically for government procurement researchers, this open access resource by Public Spend Forum is a single platform that allows you to search, find and connect with suppliers. You can do a comprehensive search, using the search box, or you can filter, via a drop-down box to the left of the search box, by supplier name, products/services offerings, or contract vehicles. There are three ways to browse: 1) by products and services, 2) by contract vehicle, and 3) all suppliers. You can browsing by Products and Services via these codes: PSC, NAICS, PSF Markets, and NIGP. GovShop only includes authorized government contractors. The Contract Vehicles, currently available to search and browse are federal supply schedules. Kompass uses a unique classification system which is quite detailed to help you target specific companies/suppliers more easily. (Kompass also allows you to browse by SIC (US and UK), NAICS, and NACE as well.) Categories are comprehensive and include: Agriculture, Business Services, Construction, Chemistry, Energy, IT/Internet, Paper/Printing, Tourism/Leisure, Transport and Lodging, Training, and Textile/Clothing, to name a few. You can enter a search term to begin and then search by location to narrow results. Kompass serves marketing/business development activity in addition to their directory which is what enables them to make the directory available for free.

The MFG.com contract manufacturing marketplace lets procurement professionals and engineers quickly and easily source through an easy-to-use online platform. Contract manufacturers can quote open RFQs on MFG.com every day to help fill open manufacturing capacity.

The comparison tool allows for side-by-side comparisons. The product sourcing application has semantic search capabilities based on a classification system specific to engineering. The platform is free, and the coverage focuses on North America.
